MCAS (Mid-Continent Aviation Services) started as the fleet maintenance team for ICM. In 2010, the plan was put in place to make the hangar a full service MRO that would provide the highest quality maintenance service at a very competitive price. In 2017 MCAS expanded their services by adding the business jet division, which specializes in the Hawker 4000 and the Premier 1A. Our maintenance team is made up of 20+ individuals with over 200 years of aircraft experience. You can trust that there is no job our team can’t handle!

Meet The MCAS Team

Jill Mitchell

Executive Director

Jill just recently joined the MCAS family and is excited to learn more about the aviation industry! She earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Wichita State University and worked for 10 years at ICM, Inc. in Marketing, HR, Finance and Executive Leadership. She also volunteered for 10 years at the Independent School focusing on Development and serving on the Board of Directors. Jill enjoys volunteering in the local community on various committees and boards as well as traveling and spending time with family and friends!

Shane Kirby

Director of Finance

Shane joined the MCAS Family in 2022 after a 33+ career in various roles within the aviation industry.   He earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Pittsburg State University.  He is an enthusiastic aviation executive with a broad background in the MRO, Commercial & Defense platforms within the industry.   He began his aviation career in 1991 at Bombardier Learjet for 15 years before moving on to Textron and Beechcraft for an additional 10 years primarily in the Wichita, KS market.  And finally, spent time with Spirit Aerosystems and Valence Surface Technologies prior to arriving at MCAS.  One of Shane’s proudest accomplishments was being the key leader in the development and startup of a Bombardier MRO business located at Love Field in Dallas, TX.  His career has been primarily focused on the aviation aftermarket, business development and defense areas.  Shane holds a DOD clearance and has been a part of the Sikorsky CH-53K helicopter, Bell V-280 helicopter, Northrop Grumman B-21 Raider and multiple Lockheed Martin classified defense programs.  Outside his MCAS family, Shane enjoys spending time with his wife of 32 years, Teresa and their 4 beautiful children.  He is a strong man of faith, die hard KC Chiefs & Royals, Pitt State, K-State and Clearwater Indian’s fan, movie buff and gun enthusiastic.  His personal passions include coaching youth sports, biblical studies and teaching youth ministries at his church.

Kelly Lousch

Director of Customer Support

Kelly brings her love for the Hawker Beechcraft product lines and 24 years of experience to the MCAS leadership team.  She is a licensed Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic and Private Pilot that also holds the prestigious Flight Safety International “Master Mechanic” designation.  Her favorite part of the job is the wide variety of tasks each day brings and bringing together the right people to provide resolution to aircraft issues.  Away from the hangar she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 daughters.

Ian Hogue

Customer Service Manager

Ian joined the MCAS team with 6 years of aircraft experience and certification from A&P school, where he was awarded the highly sought after Presidential Scholar award. His favorite aircraft to work on are the Learjet 45 and 75, C-Series and Challenger 300 and 600. Though there are many perks to working with the MCAS crew, Ian especially enjoys the flexibility each employee is given to showcase their strengths within their work. In his personal time, he likes to play video games, go bowling and perfect his Yo-Yo tricks.

Kadie Sanders

Kadie Sanders

Business Development Manager

Kadie brings her love for aviation and 20 years of aviation experience to the MCAS team. She has worked in all fields of aviation to include customer service, operations, logistics, compliance and FBO Management. Kadie works on all aspects of customer service inside the different departments of MCAS to ensure that customer satisfaction is always met and exceeded! When Kadie is not in the office, you can find her running around and spending time with her 2 young children!

Lisa Sanders

Accounting Specialist

Lisa has been a part of the MCAS team since 2010. Lisa spends time working extensively with each of the departments within MCAS, helping and directing wherever needed. She is also responsible for bookkeeping all while maintaining the office. She enjoys working with her MCAS family as much as she does spending time with her own, which includes 3 grown children, their families and multiple grand-doggies!

Linda Burroughs

Administrative Assistant

Linda joined our team in February 2019 as an Office Administrative Assistant.  She brings many years of experience dealing with the day-to-day functions of the office and helping wherever needed.  Away from work, you will find that Linda spends most of her time with family and friends, who she credits for her happiness and living a better life.

Debbie Botefur

Marketing Specialist

Debbie has been a part of the MCAS team since 2019.  As Marketing Specialist, Debbie is instrumental in photographing, and maintaining all aspects of social media platforms, and marketing.  She contributes to team building, personalizing the interactions with our customers and their experience.  Outside of work she sees the world as her playground, loves traveling with her husband exploring and spending time with her 5 granddaughters’, along with family and friends.

Debbie Rexroat

Procurement Specialist

Debbie joined our team in August 2023.  She graduated from Butler County Community College with an associate degree and brings over 33 years of experience in the aviation industry.  She carries vast knowledge in the procurement/logistics field.  In her spare time, she loves spending time with family and friends, camping and watching her husband and grandsons compete in moto-trials competitions.

Chase Kirby

Inventory & Logistics Specialist

Chase joined our team in May 2023. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Kansas State University. After graduation, his career began as an Infantry Officer with the Army, assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division and deploying in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. During his years of active duty, he gained valuable experience in teamwork, personnel and property management, logistics, regulatory inspections and practices, planning, leadership, and more. He grew up watching his father Shane’s exceptional career in civilian aerospace. Then, after spending his early professional years working closely with military aviators, Chase leaped at the opportunity to join the MCAS team and make a home for himself on the flight line once more! While he isn’t working, he enjoys spending time with loved ones, exercising, keeping up with current events, learning new skills, and has developed a passion for cocktail mixology.

Todd Bacon

Parts Specialist

Todd joined the MCAS family in 2024 with 50 plus years of experience in various roles throughout the aviation and aerospace industry. My interest in aviation started when I was 6-7 years old my father’s friend took me for an airplane ride, as soon as we were climbing out, I knew this is want I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I have managed several parts department in the Wichita area, managed two FAA Certified Repair Stations, Contract Manager, and Production Control manager for several Aviation machine shops. I was Product Support manager for an VLA aircraft built in Perth Australia. I belong to a K-9 Search and Rescue team, GPSK9S.  We use K-9’s to locate people, we have several disciplines of dogs that use depending on the type of search we are conducting, we respond to Law Enforcement only. I’m a founding member of the team, we established the team in 2012, my dog’s name is Beast, he is a Texas Blue Heeler mix. In my spare time I like to hunt, fish, fly, and travel. And enjoy time with all my friends. I started my biblical studies one year ago and look forward to continuing.

Martha Everhart

International Customer Service Manager

Martha joins us from Phast Parts Enterprise, she will continue her role as Customer Service Manager of our International Parts Division.  Martha comes from a big family born in the South part of Mexico. Her hobby is oil painting, she danced ballet when she was little, loves all music, enjoys learning about other cultures and languages. Martha has a little Chihuahua named Bonnie she is her best friend.

Cynthia Alvarado

International Customer Service Representative

Cynthia joined our team July 2023. Born in Los Angeles CA and raised in Wichita. She is bilingual, loves to speak Spanish. Comes over from Phast Parts Enterprise selling parts internationally. She hopes to pursue more knowledge in the aviation industry and new languages to make this a career. In her free time, she likes to spend quantity time with her family.

Sheila Vital

International Customer Service Representative

Sheila is a proud individual, born and raised in the Dominican Republic with a rich Haitian heritage. Her passion for engineering technology is truly remarkable, as she constantly seeks out new implementations and stays updated with the latest advances in the industry. During some of her free time, she finds joy in centering herself, embracing relaxation, and diving into music. 

Genaro Arroyo

Parts Specialist

Genaro graduated from Wichita Campus High School and Wichita State University.  He joined our parts Division July 2023; Genaro is bilingual and works with our international clients.  He’s a former Law Enforcement officer, and he previously sold real estate and still to this day retains his real estate licenses, has passion for investing in real estate properties.  He loves spending time with friends and family, long walks in the park & picnics.

Patrick Mater

Parts Specialist

Patrick joined our team in August 2021. He began his career with the fastener and safety industry after 6 years, decided to pursue a new path with MCAS.  New to aviation outside of growing up with parents who both worked in the aviation field.   Outside of work, Patrick enjoys being with friends, taking his dog Nova on walks, playing videos games and going to the motocross track.   His favorite aircraft is the B-29.

Cory Forrester

Facilities Manager

Cory joined the MCAS team in February of 2019 as our Facilities Manager.  Cory brings many years of maintenance experience with a diverse background.  He is a great asset to the MCAS team and is always ready to take on whatever project needs his attention.

Bill Snow

Chief Inspector

Bill brings 30+ years of experience to the MCAS hanger.  Avionics and sheet metal are among his specialties and he enjoys working on the Learjet 20 Series.  When he’s not at work, you can find him tinkering around his house, completing remodeling projects or, riding his motorcycle.

Ryan Esterly

Inspector

Ryan joined the MCAS team in November of 2021. He brings with him 13 years of Army aviation experience including maintenance and production management. He is a certificated Airframe and Power Plant technician and holds a commercial helicopter pilots license. When he is not maintaining aircraft, Ryan enjoys spending his time with his wife and 2 young children.

Allie Allen

Inspector

Born and raised in west Wichita. Decided to follow in ol’ dads footsteps and become an A&P. Started aviation out at Hawker Beech back in 2016 working on Hawkers and Premiers. Shortly after, merged with the Cessna Citation Center. There, I was able to be apart of the drop-in crew, working on all citation models. I got to travel a lot for work and ultimately decided to settle down in my hometown. Continuing in my dad’s footsteps, I’m now an inspector, able to work side by side with him. Outside of work, I have a beautiful baby boy, Sawyer, who will be 2 this summer. He is full throttle and keeps me nice and busy.

Brian Stinson

Aircraft Maintenance Manager

Began my aviation career in late 1980 in the Navy as an AT working A-7E Corsairs and later F-14 Tomcats and while serving completed my A&P certificate.  After the Navy I worked for Cessna on 650 and 750 models.  At Hawker Beechcraft I was with the Horizon/Hawker 4000 team until 2013 when I went to corporate flight as a DOM working 4000’s, Lear 40, and Pilatus PC-12.  Away from MCAS I enjoy golf, woodworking/home projects and spending time with the Wife and family.

Jason Orpen

A&P/Shop Lead

Jason comes with 22 years with Beechcraft, as a Master Mechanic, experienced on the Premier.  Jason’s free time, you’ll find him either spending time coaching softball, or hunting and shooting.

Steve Carroll

A&P/Shop Lead

Steve started his aviation career in 1986 at Boeing and has worked for Learjet and Cessna in Experimental Flight. He was born and raised right here in Wichita, Kansas! Steve enjoys building race engines and loves just about any outdoor activity with his wife, 3 boys and 3 grandchildren.

Wesley Smith

A&P/Shop Lead

Started as an A&P in 2012 at the Beechcraft service center working on Premiers and 4000s. Left in 2016 and went to GE Aviation overhauling a wide variety of military and commercial jet engines. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending my time at the lake camping and fishing.

Jeremiah Cooper

A&P

Jeremiah is originally from Buffalo NY. He joined the AirForce in 2016 and was stationed at McConnell here in Wichita for 6 years, in the military he worked on two refuel aircraft (the kc-46 and the kc-135), he worked in Isochronal inspection then moved on to repair and reclamation within my military career. Jeremiah then decided to get my airframe and powerplant license to pursue being an AMT outside the military and into the civilian world. He had been a contractor with Aerotek working with MCAS, now a direct hire. He enjoys exercising, reading and watching thriller and traveling especially to a beach.

Isaiah Inglese

A&P

Isaiah grew up on a small farm in Washington.  After moving to Southern California, Isaiah completed his A & P certification in 2018.  He hired on with Textron Aviation in the spring of 2019 and joined MCAS in April 2022.  He has 3 years’ experience on the Citation Mustang, CJ’s and 560XL.  When Isaiah is away from work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, traveling and doing projects.

Chase Rariden

Technician

Born and raised in Goddard, KS. 7 years of Army aviation maintenance experience. After the Army, I decided to continue working on aircraft and started my career working on Cessna 172, Travel Airs, and Piper Cherokee/Cherokee Warriors. When I am not working, I enjoy spending my time hunting, working on cars and motorcycles, and spending time with my wife and our 3-year-old son, Colter.

Jacob Westerman

A&P

Jacob joined the MCAS team in August of 2021.  Raised in a small farming town, outside of Wichita.  He grew-up working for his fathers auto-shop, and farming. He decided to further his mechanical knowledge and became an A&P.  Loves spending time with his fiancé and 3 very ornery little boys, that keeps them busy.

Steven VanderGriend

Steve Vander Griend

Technician

Steve started his aviation career over 25 years ago, he worked aviation maintenance from being a Marine One Crew Chief in the Marine Corp, a few years at Delta Airlines and 12 years in air medical field working primarily on helicopters. In 2006, he moved to Wichita, Kansas to start Mid-Continent Aviation Services. In 2010, Steve ventured into researching octane. We fast forward, welcome Steve back.

Lyle Ruggles

Avionics

Lyle joined the MCAS team in August of 2022. He brings over 12 years of maintenance, modification, and parts quality experience. His favorite aircraft to work on are the F/A-18 Super Hornet and the Global 7500. Away from work he enjoys spending time with his family, friends, reading, and playing video games.

Nathan Pledger

Avionics/A&P

Nathan started his aviation career at Textron aviation in 2018 gaining knowledge of electronic and avionics systems.  All the while going to school to get his A&P license. He brings experience on most of the citation models but really enjoyed working on the citation longitude. He started at MCAS in May of 2022 and has been enjoying it ever since. Outside of work he enjoys participating in half- marathons, working on cars and dirt bikes and plans to have his pilots license soon.

David Clements

A&P

Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and raised in Citrus County, Florida.  Spent three years restoring a 1932 monoplane at the age of 13. Eagle Boy Scout, Gulf Ridge Council, Troops 452 / 429, Beverly Hills, Florida 1992, US Air Force Mac Dill AFB, Tampa, Florida 1993 – 1994, married loving and supportive wife Valerie 1996, Private pilot certificate 1997, A&P Mechanic from Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, Oklahoma 2000 – 2001, General Aviation for Piedmont Hawthorne Aviation Services, Monroe, North Carolina 2002, Beechcraft 1900 refurbishment team, King Air C-12 ACI team and Hawker 4000 production  Wichita, KS 2005 – 2011, son Aidan born 2007, L3 Communications US Special Mission Contractor Afghanistan Greenville, TX 2011 – 2012. Second shift lead Mechanic on Challenger 300, 350, and 600 Series with Bombardier Learjet in Wichita, KS 2012 – 2022.  Hobbies include high adventure camping, cross-country cycling, flying anything with wings, hiking anywhere picturesque, exotic international travel, sailing and surfing, youth development training with local Scout troops, and spiritual devotions with a local Messianic community.
